Almost Halfway Thru August, Needing to Make Some Magic for Smiley Dog and Glass Gardens NW

Sitting here on the morning of August 15th, thinking that we're almost half way through the month working for Smiley Dog and Glass Gardens NW.  I'm feeling a bit stressed, as I'm not sure I've been able to help Craig and Barbara as much as I thought I could.  I'm finding it a bit difficult to strategize, plan and implement for two businesses at once in such a short period of time, but I do know that I have been of some benefit.

The other day, PayPal finally granted me access to the $1000 I'm earning this month from Craig and Barbara - and I promptly took Jackie's mom a check for half.  Now it's not easy to live on $500 for a month, especially considering the amount of money I've spent in gas the last two weeks - but I am VERY happy to be able to give Olena some money - and have a bit left over for overdue utility bills and maybe even some food ...  The bottom line is that I'm very glad to be working this month and feel fortunate to be paid, but I must find something to do that is going to pay me more than $1000 a month.

On that note, I sent out a media release the other day about the project - you can read it posted over at BellevueBusinessJournal.com.  Unfortunately, not one outside new organization has seemed to pick it up at all.  Apparently the job market is so difficult that a former publisher listing himself on eBay does not qualify as news these days ... curious.  The one news outlet that did call me was the Bellevue Reporter - they wanted to meet up so they could take a picture of me, but we haven't been able to make it happen yet.  I am a bit interested to know if they just want a photo like they do for any other article, or if they just want a picture of my long hair so they can point to that as the reason I haven't been able to find a job ...
