Debbie Whitlock's Summer Blog Challenge: My Way to Break Out as A Daddy Blogger?

My friend Debbie Whitlock is an amazing person who has built up a huge following over the years.  She specializes in helping women with their finances, but has expanded into business coaching for women.  Since I am not a woman, I was especially thankful that she accepted me into her Summer Blog Challenge!

Here are the rules and expectations:


I'm thrilled you are joining me for the Summer Blog Challenge!
During this challenge, you will: 

• Write 8 blog posts
• Esta​blish a 3 month editorial calendar
• Schedule time on your calendar to create content
• Share two blog posts each week from fellow challengers with engaging conversation starters to your audience.
• You'll get my own social media sharing strategy that has significantly increase my business following the visibility, credibility and profitability formula.

Your first assignment is to list 10 questions you are either always asked about in your business OR you can add to that list with the questions you wish people would ask you about your work!

PS - Be sure to dedicate a notebook to this Summer Business Blogging Challenge - or use Evernote (my personal favorite) to keep track of these assignments and ideas!

Accelerating Business Growth 
Through Effective Marketing, Sales and Increased Cash Flow

Before I got this first assignment and the mention of Summer Business Blogging Challenge, I was real excited to use this Summer Blog Challenge to get started on my Daddy Blogger blog ....  I did not realize that the blog challenge was supposed to be for business.  Stupid me.  At this point, there is no way that I can consider Daddy Blogging a business - Ava Kalea is still 61 days (give or take) away from making her first worldly appearance - and this is perhaps my first blog post even mentioning Daddy Blogger.

That being said, I am going to use this Summer Blog Challenge to build my Daddy Blogger business AND to get back to work on one of my real estate blogs - either A New Day Real Estate or AAA Properties - or maybe even Mary Jane Real Estate (more on that later).

Regardless of which direction that I decide to go, I've got A LOT of work to do.  I need to move around some blogs.  I need to set up a couple back on Wordpress (including this one that is currently using the Blogger platform).   I need to change About and Contact pages.  I need new graphics.  I need to set up some new social media channels and accounts.  Lots of need to dos.  I do kind of have an 'unfair' advantage right now - I'm waiting to have surgery and have extra time while waiting for it to be scheduled and during recovery - at least until Ava Kalea is born ... 

On to the first assignment:  10 Questions That I Get or Wish I'd Get About My (Real Estate) Business

1.  When is the best time of year to sell a home?
2. When is the best time of year to buy a home?
3. Is it worth paying for good listing photos?
4. Should I 'stage' the property I am selling?
5. How should I prepare my property before listing it?
6. How will you market my property if you get the listing?
7. Is the video marketing that you do effective?
8. Should I price my home with an asking price - or price range?
9. What are the difference between working with an Independent real estate professional and a Realtor with a national franchise?
10. What can I be doing to prepare to buy my first home?
11. What are the best ways to invest in real estate part-time?  (bonus question - I always try to go above and beyond).

9. How do you prepare to take your baby to the beach?

OK - that's it!  I did my first assignment for the Summer Blog Challenge - both for my real estate business and my budding Daddy Blogger empire (and with extra credit for both).
