Gratitude, Reunions, Friends, Bellevue Art Fairs and New Opportunities

This is going to be an amazing week!  I know - I usually say that on Monday mornings - and I always believe it too!  This week IS going to be a bit different, as there is a lot going on.

I first want to express my gratitude for getting to experience some sun and a little bit of summer over the weekend.  It was great to be able to take a few bike rides without the threat of rain.  I was even able to take a bunch of new pictures of Bellevue - particularly of hotels and apartment buildings.  I'll be posting some of those a little later in the week, so you might want to check back - or look at the Facebook page for BellevueBusinessJournal.com.

Another great thing that happened over the weekend (and was much more important to me than the weather) is that a 7 year old Jackie Kennedy got back from her first overnight camp.  She went to a horse camp in Centrailia with the YMCA and rode horses for 4 days.  It was the first time that she had spent the night away from both her parents - and she had a GREAT time!  It was extra special to get to spend time with her over the weekend.  She is really growing up.

This week is the 30th class reunion for our Bellevue High Class of 1981 - should be a lot of great activities.  The 'official' reunion event is being held on Friday at Maggiano's in Lincoln Square.  Would not have been in my first 25 choices, but it will be great to see a bunch of faces from the past.  It's kind of interesting that so few of our classmates still live in or around Bellevue ...  I am actually looking much more forward to the "Informal BHS Reunion" at The Spot off Main on Thursday night - it's open to everyone - hope to see you there!

It is interesting that the powers that be would choose the Bellevue Art Fairs weekend for our reunion, but maybe it is a good time to get people to come back into town.  Traffic will be crazy, the weather looks iffy - but there will be a lot of fun stuff going on ...

While I am super stoked to see some old friends at the reunion and will continue to contact those who may not be as internet friendly as some.

Finally this week, I am extra grateful for a couple of new opportunities on the horizon.  It's still too early to tell, but I am definitely ready for a new project to sink my teeth into.  Any ideas?
